December is finally here and the weirdness that has dogged us all year long may soon be in our rearview mirror. Yeah, we have a few things to go through before we get there, but punk-pop legends MXPX is doing their part to help us get there.
The band was formed in 1992 and were originally named Magnified Plaid. They decided to shorten the name and kept the MP, but added xs to create… MxPx. They have been entertaining us with their high-energy, infectious style of punk rock ever since.
Even with an extended break, the band is as tight as ever. The core remains intact with Mike Herrera vox and bass), Tom Wisniewski (lead guitar, backing vox), Chris Adkins (rhythm guitar) and Yuri Ruley (drums).
Closing in on three decades of providing us with era-defining original and tunes and covers, this band really is what we could all use this holiday season.
The band announced that they’ll be performing a livestream show titled “Between This World And The Next: Round 2.”
The livestream event happens this Friday night (December 4th) at 6:30pm (Pacific time).
The livestream show will be a full live performance including songs they haven’t played in quite some time.
Tickets start at $15 or bundle it with a ticket for their December 23rd stream for $30.
Seeing MXPX live is an out-of-this-world experience, but until we can see them in person, this is the next best thing.
