My Chemical Romance is finally headed out for their reunion tour and SoCal is getting just a few dates. The North American dates will cover August, September, and October, but the FIVE Forum dates occur in October. While the first four were expected, the fifth date is new and goes on sale today at 12 p.m. PT.
Gerard Way, Ray Toro, Mikey Way, and Frank Iero’s breakup in 2013 devastated fans, so when news hit MCR was doing a reunion tour, the frenzy was intense. MCR played the Shrine in 2019 and had the 2020 reunion tour ready to go before the obvious thing canceled it. But now, it is back on and this year, we should get to hear “Teenagers,” “Welcome to the Black Parade,” “Helena,” “I’m Not Okay,” “The Ghost of You,” and “Disenchanted” in person.
Just MCR would be an amazing show, but they are taking multiple artists with them. Badflower, The Bouncing Souls, Devil Master, Dilly Dally, Ghösh, The Homeless Gospel Choir, Kimya Dawson, The Lemon Twigs, Meg Myers, Midtown, Nothing, Shannon and the Clams, Soul Glo, Surfbort, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Turnstile, Waterparks, and Youth Code will rotate shows.
