The 2022 National Association of Music Merchants, or more affectionately known by industry insiders, (NAMM) returns to Anaheim in June and it is definitely worth checking out.
A place to see, and be seen, or just make the scene. You can catch up on the latest gear while talking about all that vintage gear in your collection.

“Uniting the Music, Sound and Entertainment Technology Communities,” NAMM will be held June 3rd – 5th at the Anaheim Convention Center.
What started as an industry-only exhibition quickly turned into a place the public wanted to access, especially when the artist appearances came into play. Fashion is a big part of NAMM as well; when you see someone coming and know immediately what music they’re into, or what instrument they play because they want you to know.

NAMM is a not-for-profit association and the event features multiple live venues featuring artists who have been curated from submissions. Whether your band plays Taco Tuesday at the local watering hole, opens a cool gig at the local venue, or headlines arenas, there’s something for everyone at NAMM. Plus, don’t forget that official NAMM after party.

For 2022, Fred Armisen returns to host the 37th Annual NAMM TEC Awards which take place on June 4th. The awards cover nearly 30 categories that “honor individuals, companies, and technical innovations used in sound recordings, films, broadcast television, and video games.”
Another much-anticipated event at NAMM is the She Rocks Awards, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary of “honoring notable women from across the industry.” Previous honorees include The Go-Go’s, Cherie Currie, The B-52s, The Bangles, Lita Ford, Margaret Cho, Linda Perry, Ronnie Spector, and Suzi Quatro.
