Despite being incredibly busy winding their way around the globe on their mostly sold-out world tour, Coldplay just released the video for “Humankind,” a song off their number one album, “Music of the Spheres.”
“Humankind” has become a crowd favorite on their Music of the Spheres World Tour, so it is only appropriate that the video showcase the excitement of the live performance. The video features footage from the band’s four sold-out shows at Mexico City’s Foro Sol stadium earlier this year.
“Music of the Spheres” is the second space-themed album from the British band, the first being “X&Y.” Their ninth studio album, “Music of the Spheres” explores ambient pop rock and was released in October of last year.
They previously released the singles “Higher Power” and “My Universe,” which earned them a Grammy nom and a number one single on Billboard.
This week, Coldplay is playing six sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, and then they will head to Glasgow, followed by an amazing 10 sold-out nights at Estadio River Plate in Argentina.
Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion continue to leave as little of a carbon footprint as they can. The world tour is following a “comprehensive set of sustainability initiatives” which you can find on their site.
They will be announcing more dates for 2023, including the make-ups for the Los Angeles dates.
