The “Time for Fun” is Here!: OC Fair Opens

July 14, 2021 by Traci Turner
Summer has truly arrived! The 2021 OC Fair opens this week!
This year’s theme is “Time for Fun” and there is so much happening to make that true. Of course there will be tons of fair favorites like exhibits, a petting zoo, and live performances, but also plenty of rides – including some new ones! If you’d like to show off your skills, there are more than 35 game booths to win stuffed animals and other prizes. Kids can explore through special activities and displays, and visitors can learn about bees, gardens, local fruit, and more. The livestock area will have horses, birds, goats, llamas, camels, and more.
The OC Fair will be open for 23 days and runs July 16th through August 15th, Wednesdays through Sundays. Advance purchase is required and there will be limited capacity, so make sure to grab your tickets ASAP. Visit ocfair.com or the OC Fair mobile app. You can also use the app to find out all the daily events and performances.

In addition to the core fair features we love, there are many musical artists and comedy acts scheduled to perform, including X, Los Lobos, Rebelution, Steel Pulse, Cheap Trick, Blue Oyster Cult, The Aquabats, The English Beat, Pepper, The Flaming Lips, Goo Goo Dolls, Sister Hazel, and more. Also worth mention, a ticket to the concert gets you in to the Fair.
Ticket prices range from $7 to $14 and the Fair will be open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. weekdays and midnight on weekends. Capacity will be limited, so snag your tickets before they sell out! To purchase your tickets without fees, visit ocfair.com.
As for parking, per the Fair’s website:
General passenger car – $10
General buses and limos – $20
NOTE: Parking is credit card only. There are no in–and–out parking privileges. We’re sorry, general parking is not available for advance purchase.
