HAPPY TOGETHER

The OC FAIR is BACK!

July 12, 2023 by Holly Jones
The OC Fair is back and better than ever! One of the OC’s biggest annual events brings everyone together for fun in the sun and so much more! Set on the sprawling fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, this year’s fair will have its usual myriad of exciting attractions, rides, critters, entertainment, and of course the food will be out of this world.

Here’s everything you need to know about this year’s fair: As they do every year, the OC Fair features a variety of exhibits guaranteed to interest you.

As in years past, the exhibits will engage you into the culinary arts, garden and floral exhibits, agriculture, arts and crafts, visual arts… and don’t forget the critters. Also, an area will be focused on the Art of Music and Heroes Hall.

No journey to the fair would be complete without a list of the items to stuff you face with. Look for Pink’s Hot Dogs, funnel cakes (Cap’n Crunch style), chili cheese fry-topped blooming onion, Hot Cheeto floats, giant turkey legs, the best fried chicken on the planet, cotton candy, and all the ice cream you can muster. Oh, and bacon covered everything!

As for the attractions, there will be over 50 to check out. You can expect the traditional Ferris wheel, the tilt-a-whirl, super slide, teacups, ice jet, and the circus train. Like all fairs, you come for the food and attractions, but you stay to check out the concerts.

You can catch the bigger than life bands at the Pacific Amphitheatre because this year’s lineup is incredible! Beck, 3 Doors Down, Dwight Yoakam, Smokey Robinson, Styx, George Thorogood, X, Ziggy Marley, War, Cheap Trick, Rebelution, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Chicago, and Common Kings are slated to perform. This year’s lineup provides a little bit of every type of sound for all our musical tastes.
