CANCELED

July 25, 2022 by Traci Turner
Pearl Jam fans in Europe have been getting depressing news the past few days as front-man Eddie Vedder has been unable to sing, promoting show cancelations. Now we have some sad news on our shores: the second weekend of Ohana, known as Ohana Encore, has been canceled.
The event was planned to take place October 8th and 9th and feature Vedder, Alanis Morissette, The Black Keys, and Haim, but is now canceled due to “circumstances beyond our control” as stated in an email from the organizers. Refunds will be issued in the next 10 days.
Fortunately you can still get some Vedder at the original Ohana Fest scheduled for September 30th through October 2nd. The three-day festival includes Vedder, Stevie Nicks, Khruangbin, Brittany Howard, Gang of Youths, The Revivalist, Jack White, Billy Strings, Manchester Orchestra, Inhaler, P!NK, St. Vincent, Dermot Kennedy, Grouplove, and many more.

It does not appear the cancelation is due to Vedder’s voice issues, but several European dates have been affected. Vienna, Prague, and Amsterdam fans have found themselves out of luck for their PJ shows. The band posted the following message this weekend: “In spite of continuous medical treatment, Ed is regretfully still without a voice and unable to perform tonight’s show at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. This is again the worst possible scenario for the band. We wholeheartedly apologize to all that worked so hard to put on the show and those supporters we looked forward to seeing. All of our energies will now be focused on having a show tomorrow [Monday].”
Thankfully we still have Ohana, so make sure you get your tickets now!
