OINGO BOINGO FORMER MEMBERS | NEW MUSIC – MORE SHOWS

OINGO BOINGO FORMER MEMBERS

Halloween, 4th of July and New Music
May 15, 2023 by Traci Turner
In case you missed it this weekend, Oingo Boingo Former Members debuted new music on KXFM’s TNN Radio and confirmed their annual Halloween plans! After playing a full weekend of shows, including their traditional Cinco de Mayo show at The Coach House, they still had time to give us the scoop on the rest of 2023.
The event that sells out every year is back: Oingo Boingo Former Members will play Halloween night at Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. As someone who has seen them there in person, I say you are required by law to attend!

THE COACH HOUSE

October 31st, 2023

In addition to dropping that nugget of news, original member and drummer Johnny Vatos shared three songs with TNN RADIO on the air. The band’s release are now on Spotify and feature refreshed versions of their classics, plus some new material.
Vatos posted: “This so exciting!! This will be the 2023 summer of new old tracks from the band that’s always on fire for you, Oingo Boingo Former Members! These are 4 studio tracks! We will have some great live tracks for our 2022 Halloween Show at The Coach House Concert Hall later this summer….. June, July, August and September because it’s all about Halloween!! Thank You Oingo Boingo Former Members TRIBE and all the fans all over the world.”

We loved what we heard, so we look forward to the full album and we know fans will snap it up!
In the meantime, to see them do favorites like “Weird Science,” “Grey Matter,” “Nothing to Fear (But Fear Itself),” “Only a Lad,” “Who Do You Want to Be,” “Just Another Day,” and “No One Lives Forever” in person, you can catch them on October 15th at Mountain Winery in Saratoga (with The Tubes, Dramarama, and The Untouchables), October 28th at Humphreys Concerts By the Bay (with The Tubes, Dramarama, and The Untouchables), and of course the Halloween extravaganza October 31st at Coach House Concert Hall.

Halloween season is a busy time for most bands, OBFM is no exception. Given their history of larger-than-life shows, Halloween night is a must-see event. Words alone cannot properly describe the sights and sounds you will experience at The Coach House.

Let’s say, for whatever reason you just cannot wait that long to see them; there is another local show you just might want to check out. There is nothing that screams the 4th of July like fireworks, apple pie, Ok maybe menudo, and Oingo Boingo Former Members.

You can catch OBFM playing an Independence Day spectacle in Redondo Beach, at the corner of Avenue I and South Catalina. Tickets are available, it will be a memorable night, so go out and scoop those up too!
