There are certain bands synonymous with certain eras. P.O.D. owned the ‘90s and 2024 is looking up for Payable Upon Death!
With speakers at the ready and music in the can, their fans have been waiting for this announcement. needless to day, this is the year they get all of the above.
Best known for mega radio hits “Youth of a Nation,” “Alive,” “Higher,” and letting us all know just how dangerous the world of table tennis (ping-pong) was with “Boom!”
That all being said, P.O.D.’s latest album, “Veritas,” is set to drop May 3rd, and the band is now ready to embark on their I Got That Tour.
Joining the San Diego nu-metal guitar heroes will be Bad Wolves, Norma Jean, and Blind Channel.
Recently, P.O.D. lead singer Sonny Sandoval said, “With all of the love and amazing energy surrounding our new album, Veritas, we couldn’t be more excited about hitting the road again and seeing your beautiful faces.”
He continued, “This album is so special to us and we can’t wait to play these new powerful songs and sing out loud with you until the whole world recognizes we’re all in this together!”
P.O.D. remains the electric, booming shredders that we fell in love with. Sonny Sandoval continues to mesmerize behind the mic, Marcos Curiel lays down the licks on guitar, Traa Daniels slaps the bass, and pounding the skins is Alex Lopez. This band is sheer energy come to life!
The tour will kick off in Phoenix on April 26th before it comes home for three dates in SoCal. They’ll start the local dates April 28th at the House of Blues in San Diego before they head north to melt our faces off on April 29th at the Observatory in Santa Ana, and then they will close the local gigs in Los Angeles at the Belasco on May 1st.
Bottom line, music has a power to craft thoughts, and P.O.D. has delivered a constant and subtle message that life is “Beautiful.”
Tickets are now available, so don’t miss out on this one. P.O.D. will take the stage as if their hair is on fire, while soothing your musical soul.
