Holy hell! Things just got very interesting and 2024 is turning out to be an epic year!
Pearl Jam just announced two monster things: a tour and an album!
The legends from Seattle have not released a new studio album since 2020’s “Gigaton,” so maybe that’s why the world has been off. Perhaps all will be made right again when “Dark Matter” drops on April 19th.
In their announcement, Pearl Jam shared a behind-the-scenes video, song teaser, and a list of tour dates. The band hosted a listening party after the Grammys and so far the response is positive; in fact, front-man Eddie Vedder calls it their best work!
Of course a new album needs a tour for support, so Vedder, guitarists Mike McCready and Stone Gossard, bassist Jeff Ament, and drummer Matt Cameron will venture out to share it with the fans in person.
The Dark Matter Tour will invade nine countries – US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Germany, Spain, and Portugal – and includes support from Pixies, Deep Sea Diver, The Murder Capital, Richard Ashcroft, and Glen Hansard (varies by location). The tour kicks off May 4th in Canada and currently lists November 21st in Australia as the closer. SoCal gets two dates at Kia Forum – May 21st and 22nd.

Obviously new material will be featured, but surely we can expect some classic Pearl Jam like “Glorified G,” “State of Love and Trust,” “Better Man,” “Alive,” “Corduroy,” “Even Flow,” “Jeremy,” “Animal,” “Last Kiss,” “Yellow Ledbetter,” “Wish List,” “Daughter,” “Given to Fly,” and “Spin the Black Circle.”
The band’s fan club is the best way to score tickets and these babies sell out fast! The Ten Club Ticket Presale Request system is open and registration has begun. Non-fan club members can also register on the band’s site for a presale, and we highly suggest you jump on it!
