“Gigaton” is a very incendiary word which takes on a higher emphasized meaning these days. In 2022, it attaches itself to a huge welcome back as Pearl Jam returns to the live music world.
In what seems like a lifetime ago, Pearl Jam was one of the first acts to cancel their tour back in March of 2020 due to COVID concerns. Their response set off a series of cancelations across the globe we have never seen before.
But now, with concerts happening safely, Pearl Jam announced the 2022 North American tour. This re-scheduling of the canceled Gigaton tour will span from May through September.
This larger-than-life band captured our hearts and soul with their album “Ten.” We were blown away by songs like “Alive” and “Even Flow,” and those singles gave Pearl Jam instant cred. To this day, songs off “Ten” – including “Black” and “Jeremy” – are being played everywhere on the planet and have become a major part of our lives; songs that launched Pearl Jam into the sonic stratosphere.

Since then, we have felt their passion with songs like “Yellow Ledbetter,” “Wishlist,” “Last Kiss,” “Just Breathe,” “Better Man,” “Daughter,” and “Given to Fly.”
Pearl Jam’s latest album, “Gigaton” gives us more reasons to love this iconic band. “Dance of the Clairvoyants,” and “Retrograde,” are doing extremely well on the radio waves.
As for Pearl Jam today, they produce the most melodic and pulse pounding sound you will ever hear. Eddie Vedder is behind the mic, Jeff Ament is on bass, Stone Gossard plays rhythm and lead guitar, Mike McCready is on guitar, and Matt Cameron pounds the skins!
For the re-scheduled tour, former Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer will join Vedder and the boys.
