The sonic punk band Pennywise just finished a sold-out cluster of five shows at the Garden Amp playing their first five albums in their entirety. With only the excitement of “Bro Hymn” left for the collection, this was leaving a hole in our hearts at the end of Sunday night’s set… or so we thought.
Upon the completion of playing their fifth album, “Straight Ahead,” last night, Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge announced that they will be playing a sixth show at the Garden Grove venue this Friday. Not only will we be able to see our favorite punks rock out again, but the playlist for the show will be voted on by fans. We aren’t entirely sure how the voting will take place yet, but we wanted to bring it to you as soon as possible. Tickets for the show went on sale the moment the announcement was made, and are now on sale on the Garden Amp website. These will definitely sell out, so do not delay!

There is no news yet on who, if anyone, will be a supporting band on this show, but if the last five shows have taught us anything, it is that Pennywise will have some outstanding acts playing before them.
If you were going to pull the trigger and bring the family to a Pennywise show, this is the venue you want to do it at! There is not a bad seat in the house, but be sure to get there on time to grab an actual seat! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and Friday’s show starts promptly at 6 p.m. Because of a city ordinance, you can count on the show being over at 10 p.m.
Our review for these five turned six shows is coming soon, so if you aren’t able to grab these soon-to-be sold-out tickets, we will help fill in the gaps for you!
