So, his music has hit us like a “Sledgehammer” with life altering hits like “Biko,” “In Your Eyes,” and “Solsbury Hill.” Now Peter Gabriel is coming to North America this October!
Gabriel first came to our attention as the lead singer of Brit band, Genesis with Phil Collins. He left the band in 1975 to do his own thing and made quite the splash with songs that heralded critical acclaim from industry professionals, fellow musicians and fans worldwide.
Gabriel just announced dates for his I/O Tour taking off in September in support of his new album, “I/O.” His latest single, “Paying for Time” is doing quite well among his faithful legion of fans worldwide. Regarding the new album, there is no date set for its release just yet.
In a recent statement Gabriel said, “It’s been awhile and I am now surrounded by a whole lot of new songs and am excited to be taking them out on the road, look forward to seeing you out there.”
Other new songs you just might hear on the tour include “Panopticom” and “The Court” along with mixes of other hits, “Shock the Monkey,” “Big Time,” “Red Rian,” and “Games Without Frontiers.”
Not to worry if you live on the other side of the pond, Gabriel will hit his UK tour before coming to North America. As for the locals, he will be coming to SoCal on October 13th where he will play at the Kia Forum.
So, get out and see this icon, it will be one of those shows that will be worth every penny.
