PHANTOGRAM IN THE OC

PHANTOGRAM

at The House of Blues, Anaheim
November 1, 2022 by Rachael Zahm
The duo in Phantogram is a force to be reckoned with. Not only are Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter very talented musicians, fantastic songwriters and vocalists, they are multi-instrumentalists.
Hailing from New York, their artistry goes beyond contemporary studios as the pair record in an actual barn in upstate NY.
Once known as “Charlie Everywhere,” their trip hop, electronica, electronic rock, dream pop, alternative sound helped rocket them to stardom with their hit “Blackout Days” from their 2013 certified platinum album, “Voice.”
Their smash hit song was also featured on TV shows “How to Get Away with Murder” and “The Magicians.”
Their latest album, 2020’s “Ceremony” is their fourth album and continues to show their growth and talent. For many fans, they still can’t get enough of “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore.”
Friends since preschool, the duo became a musical group in 2007, and have been focused and driven in their efforts to make great records instead of playing shows. It has clearly paid off for them as they are in the hundreds of millions of hits on the Spotify charts.
