Last year, OC Music News attended the Pilgrimage Festival with 25,000 other music fans. We saw 11 bands – including The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, Dave Matthews Band, Black Pumas, Amos Lee, Better Than Ezra, Tank and the Bangas, and Khruangbin – and walked eight miles. We are headed back this year and hope you’ll join us if you can make the trip to Nashville.
The annual event covers two days and hosts a variety of musical acts at a century-old horse farm. Launched in 2015 by Better Than Ezra front-man Kevin Griffin and friends, previous artists include Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, The Killers, Eddie Vedder, Dave Matthews Band, Jack White, Beck, Violent Femmes, Weezer, Counting Crows, and Cake. The diverse lineups have included multiple regional bands and all styles of music from rock to indie to blues and bluegrass.
For 2022, Pilgrimage will feature headliners Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile, plus Jon Batiste, The Avett Brothers, Lake Street Dive, Elle King, Lennon Stella, Trampled by Turtles, Dawes, Marty Stuart, Better Than Ezra, Celisse, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, Butch Walker, Black Joe Lewis, Adia Victoria, Bones Owens, Brittney Spencer, Jensen McRae, and more!
Pilgrimage happens September 24th and 25th at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee.
Tickets are on sale now and we are plotting out our weekend. We will share a beverage with you if you’re there, or let you know which artists are worth checking out when they head to SoCal.
