It is said that nothing is official until it is. This one is as close to it as possible, so we will give you the skinny that is about to drop on the reprise of the PowerTrip Festival.
As of March 30th, it is official!
It has been confirmed through a Goldenvoice announcement PowerTrip is back! The news was first put out in the universe by a “teaser” on Instagram’s PowerTrip account, which features devil horns, cactus, amps and a Gibson SG guitar. The video tagged bands that are expected to play the festival. Those bands in turn, shared the video on their socials. We will do the math on that and roll the dice and say they are playing the event.
Now that the cat is out of the bag, aside from everyone losing their minds, it’s time to check out the days each of your favorite bands are playing and get your tickets.
Needless to say Coachella founders Goldenvoice pulled off quite the coup. They landed industry heavyweights AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Tool, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Guns N’ Roses.
This year will be the festival’s second iteration of the event. It was first held in 2016 with The Stones, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters, and The WHO. Now, it is time for Part Deux!
The festival will be held at the Coachella stomping grounds, the Empire Polo Field in Indio, October 6th through the 8th.
