ORANGE, CALIFORNIA | OC MUSIC NEWS, an Orange County-based music news magazine today announced the elevation of Traci Turner and Rachael Contreras to the positions of Contributing Editors.
Both ladies have been with OCMN since its inception in 2019. Both are accomplished writers and editors. They will both have higher profile positions within the organization. Their higher leverage duties include input in the day-to-day operations of the magazine as well as staffing and editorial responsibilities. Notably, both will continue to be field correspondents for OCMN.
Traci has served as an Associate Editor for OCMN since it first launched. With a BA in broadcasting from the University of LaVerne, she has covered the music scene since her early days in radio at KROQ in Los Angeles in the ’90s. Before joining OCMN, Traci was an on-air personality at radio stations in Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Nashville, Wilkes-Barre and Austin and has worked for a variety of magazines as an editor. Traci is a mom, and with her husband Curt, they call Nashville, Tennessee home.
FACTOID: In her spare time she climbs obstacles, crawls through mud, and throws axes.
Rachael has served as OCMN’s Digital Content Editor since early 2019. She has covered the southern California music scene for the past two decades. Initially writing for Skratch Magazine, and a photog at Evidence Skateboarding Magazine, Rachael also has the distinction of being a Warped Tour photo vet. Currently, she also has an on-air p0sition at TNN RADIO | KX FM 104.7 fm in Laguna Beach, California. Rachael is a mother of 3, and with her husband Brad, they call Orange County, California home.
FACTOID: Rachael and her oldest child share a birthday. Her husband and her 2nd child share a birthday, but her 3rd child has a birthday all to his own.
