ORANGE, CALIFORNIA | Accomplished musician, broadcaster, podcaster, producer, writer, cocktail creator (drinker) and sports enthusiast Mike Berault will be joining the OC MUSIC NEWS writing staff.
Mike is a seasoned and well respected member of the music and broadcasting community. Professionally, he’s known as Mike, but he’s affectionately known by his family, friends and legions of fans as “Mike B.”
Mike is an OC native; growing up in the OC in the 90’s he was exposed to one of the best periods for music anywhere on the planet. Bands like No Doubt, Save Ferris were literally being played on radio from coast-to-coast and around the world. Not to mention Sublime was right next door in the LBC. Being that Mike has been a musician from almost the moment he took his first steps, music has always been second nature to him and his passion. Put all this together and it was a perfect storm for Mike B to join forces with a few other cats to become a beloved 90’s third-wave ska-punk band called My Superhero.
RADIO RADIO by MY SUPERHERO
It didn’t take long for My Superhero to be a success, before you knew it they went out on that infamous Warped Tour. Eventually third wave ska-punk fell out of favor with the radio Gods and the band went on to do other things.
Although, they do get together for the occasional reunion show here and there. The one thing My Superhero can take from their time together is that they were immortalized as toons, how cool is that?

As for Mike, that experience just catapulted him to work on other projects, which included playing in other bands and starting his venture into broadcasting. Mike was part of the original broadcast team for TNN RADIO, which is now in it’s 16th year. The experience as an on-air personality gave Mike a few ideas to do so much more. With a great ability to communicate with the masses, and a wicked sense of humor, Mike started branching out into other areas and some other very familiar ones.

What should also be noted is Mike’s love for everything sports related. He is a die-hard Dodgers fan, and he’s also a supporter of the Angels. His love for all things sports related is almost mirrored for his love and devotion to music. Over the years, he’s also been in a few really great bands, like LP 3 and the Tragedy. Today, he’s reunited with a couple of his Save Ferris pals and some other great musicians where he plays keys and provides backing vocals for forth-wave punk-ska local favorites, Bite Me Bambi.
