GOOD VIBES TOUR

Comes to Pacific Amphitheatre
August 1, 2022 by Cameron Schuyler
New school and old school reggae legends collide onstage for an epic show. Rebelution headlines their Good Vibes Summer Tour with reggae legends Steel Pulse, rising reggae rock star DENM, and DJ Mackle spinning on the 1’s and 2’s during the experience.
Rebelution recently played an amazing set at California Roots and have been on tour ever since. Rebelution’s infectious reggae rock sound quickly built up their audience and launched them into a huge headlining act. With every tour, their performances get stronger and light shows more elaborate.
While Rebelution’s music sounds great on record, the live performances really capture the energy and heart that their sound and lyrics project. One thing’s for sure: you’ll be smiling along with the band and feeling the good vibes they emulate by the time their set is through. You can plainly see that they love making music for their fans.

The legendary Steel Pulse originated in the UK in 1975 and is one of the most influential reggae bands in existence.
Their defiant lyrical content had them touring with punk rock bands during their emergence in the late ‘70s. A revolutionary act with a sound weaponized by its message, and a quality in musical craftsmanship that is unmatched by many of today’s bands.
It is one of the most well-orchestrated performances by big-band reggae artists that you will ever see. We relish every chance we get to see them perform, and hope you enjoy the show.
DENM has appeared out of nowhere, seemingly, but he has been grinding on his craft for years. He’s put out some EPs and singles, but has finally started to take off with his latest LP and most evolved sound, “Slum Beach,” which features a guest starring Jared Watson of Dirty Heads on the track “Califas.”
We recently had the pleasure of seeing DENM perform at California Roots, and we appreciate the solid performance. If you weren’t a fan or hadn’t heard him before Cali Roots, then you would most certainly be one now. You can clearly hear the influence of Sublime in DENM’s music. He takes what Bradley Nowell established as a genre and carries the torch in a unique way, with plenty of tracks that are completely his own style. Keep doing you DENM; we love it and can’t wait to see what you do at the show.

Even with all this talent on stage, we’re not sure that we’ll see any crossover performances. From the past events we’ve seen these artists play at, Rebelution usually takes to the stage without any guests; and the same goes for DENM and Steel Pulse… so far. Each band does their own thing, and we’re beyond cool with that! Rebelution has a pretty large band with usually seven or eight members accounted for on stage. Steel Pulse usually has backup singers on stage along with a huge ensemble as well.
Each band brings an entirely different depth and diversity to the reggae sound. Fingers crossed that we get some crossover performances, because any collaboration between these bands has the potential to be game-changing. Either way, this show will be an astounding gathering of new and old school legendary musicians and an obvious must-see for any reggae fan. We’ll see you there!
