Legendary rockers REO Speedwagon are celebrating the 40th anniversary of their iconic album “Hi Fidelity” with a tour, which includes a stop in Anaheim.
Formed in 1967, the band is fronted by their dynamic vocalist and guitarist, Kevin Cronin. Today’s REO Speedwagon includes a great blend of musicians which includes bassist, Bruce Hall, guitarist, Dave Amato, there’s Neal Doughty on keys, and Bryan Hitt on drums. The band is known for decades of hits including, “In Your Letter,” “Can’t Fight This Feeling,” “Time For Me To Fly,” “Roll With the Changes,” “Keep On Loving You,” “Take It On the Run,” and many more.
Their “Hi Fidelity” album included several of those tracks, plus it has the distinction of being the best-selling rock album of 1981.
When the band released “Hi Infidelity” in 1980, the landmark album spent 15 weeks in the number one spot on the charts.
Since then, it has earned the recording industry’s coveted 10X Diamond Award for surpassing sales of 10 million albums in the US.
The band is on the road now with a recent COVID infection causing some show changes. Fortunately all members of the band and their crew are vaccinated, so their tour should be back on track shortly.
Tickets for the Anaheim show go on sale this Friday, August 27th at 10 a.m.
