Who is the creature with an insatiable appetite for all things creepy that go bump in the night? It’s Rob Zombie of course, and he is bringing his cast of characters to FivePoint Amphitheatre on August 12th as part of the Freaks on Parade tour. Zombie and Mudvayne will co-headline the US tour with Static-X and Powerman 5000 giving support.

Zombie, who found fame and glory from his days in White Zombie, has been killing it on his own with his music and his movies. He has become a full-fledged movie maker with classics like “House of a 1,000 Corpses,” “Devil’s Rejects,” his take on the “Halloween” franchise, and later this year, “The Munsters.”
Zombie has created a ghoulish world of rock and gore we just can’t get enough of.
Zombie’s music keeps his fans coming back for more and we will have a chance ourselves this summer. At Zombie shows, the crowd will sing along to every word of cult classics “Dragula,” “Living Dead Girl,” and “Never Gonna Stop.”
Hell, you may even get some White Zombie classics in; “More Human than Human,” “Thunderkiss ’65,” and “I’m Your Boogie Man” for instance. Zombie released “The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy” last year, so we can expect new tracks as well.
This tour marks Mudvayne’s first in 12 years, bolstered by last year’s reunion shows. After their 2010 hiatus, fans were thrilled when the reunion was announced in 2021. Mudvayne played a few festivals and battled COVID, but they are back and fans can expect to hear classics like “Dig,” “Happy?,” “Not Falling,” and “Forget to Remember.”
Static-X is another familiar face, specifically for front-man Wayne Static’s incredible hair. “I’m the One,” “Push It,” and “Dirthouse” were all over rock stations and Static-X was poised to continue to rock the industrial metal scene for decades. Sadly, the band broke up in 2013, and more tragically, Static passed away in 2014.
In 2018, the remaining original members regrouped to drop an album of previously unreleased material featuring Static’s vocals, but also with other heavyweights like Disturbed’s David Draiman and Five Finger Death Punch’s Ivan Moody. It remains to be seen how the songs will be performed live for this tour, although previously, a masked singer has fronted the band.
With “When Worlds Collide” and “Nobody’s Real,” Powerman 5000 was one of the big acts of the nu-metal days of yore (aka late ‘90s – early ‘00s). Front-man Spider One is also known to have an older brother by the name of… Rob Zombie.
Their latest release was 2020’s “The Noble Rot,” so this will be the first chance for most of us to hear it live.
