In our ongoing series on what we’re all doing while on Lockdown, we’ve asked our writer’s, musician friends, and others in the entertainment world what they’re doing to keep themselves busy. We asked if there are any movies, NetFlix series, Bands, albums they like to listen to that they could recommend…. like their Top-10 favorite songs.
We posed this question to Las Vegas-based DJ and Show Promoter, Josh Coutts (aka Jr. Ska Boss). Couts is a California native, Santa Cruz to be exact, but he migrated to Vegas years ago and he’s become an integral part of the local music scene.
Couts hosts Viva Ska Radio and has a loyal national following. He’s also the Promoter of many great local shows, including Viva Ska Vegas.
Given his affinity for all things ska-punk, we asked Josh what his Top 10 favorite ska-punk tunes are? This was his response…
“That’s a tough one, there are just so many great bands and songs out there. I can rattle off 30 off the top of my head without hesitation. Since there can only be 10, I’ll name off 10 great ska-punk songs in no particular order that I think gives a good variety of today’s ska scene… but seriously though, there are so many good bands out there! For anyone checking out the genre in 2020 for the first time, I think these are some good ones.“
