Aside from their music being great, the lyrics speak to so many of their fans worldwide. If you want to learn more about Social D’s music, you should check out their documentary, “Another State of Mind.” Or, from Ness himself, “The most common thing I hear is, ‘Man, your music got me through some hard times.’” To which Ness simply replied, “Me too.”

In their fourth decade, Social Distortion is electrifying as ever. The band features Ness on guitar and featured crooner, Johnny “2 Bags” Wickersham on guitar, Brent Harding on bass, and David Hidalgo, Jr. on drums. Ask anyone in the punk scene and they will say Social D has defied all odds; they are alive, doing well, enjoying life, and still kicking ass.
