Fresh off his Rockabilly Riot Tour, Brian Setzer is primed to hit the road again with his original orchestra, The Stray Cats. Get ready to jump, jive an’ wail this summer with Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker and Slim Jim Phantom!
With the ever-changing landscape of music, it is always a breath of fresh air to be able to go back to the past and get inspiration for the here, now and tomorrow.
With mega hits, “Rock This Town,” “(She’s) Sexy + 17.” “Stray Cat Strut,” and “I Fought the Law,” the Stray Cats have left an undeniable mark on the world of music.
Subsequent success for Setzer came in the form of other great songs, “The Dirty Boogie,” “Jump, Jive an’ Wail,” and a host of holiday songs.
Regardless of how great the new music is, we always have a fondness for the classics, and being the showmen they are, The Stray Cats are back this summer.
Proving once again, they are built for speed, this legendary band is ready to rant n’ rave their way back with more of the music we just can’t get enough of this summer.
About the tour, Setzer said – “I’ve always said that we all grew up in the same neighborhood, so there’s an instant feeling between us when we play. It allows us to be confident and spontaneous. Man, that’s priceless.” As for Rocker – “With just a string bass, a guitar and a drum, we have always had less instruments and gear, but more rumble, more twang, more shake, and more bang than anyone else. Now’s the right time to bring it back!” AND Phantom – “I’m thrilled to be doing shows in 2024 with Stray Cats in the U.S.A.! Playing drums with Brian and Lee in our rockabilly band is the best possible way to spend a summer!”
For this tour, Midnight Cowgirls will open for the band on each tour date. The tour will launch on July 27th in Woodinville, Washington at Chateau Ste. Michele Winery.
They wrap it up on August 17th in Bridgeport, Connecticut at Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater.
Before they call the tour, they will make a few stops in SoCal that will allow locals to catch living history in Southern California.
They have two dates at Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa on August 1st and 2nd. Then, they will shimmy on down Interstate 5 to the Rady Shell at Jacobs Park in San Diego on August 3rd.
