Hey all you Distillers fans and listeners of radical music! The Distillers have a new album and it’s glorious!
Today, we are happy to bring to you a new album titled, “Live in Lockdown.” The nine-track album has the songs we love, recorded live in the studio without the gimmicks of over-producing or the live sound of microphone feedback and loud crowds! It truly is the best of both worlds. This newly tracked album also features a cover of “Primary” from The Cure’s 1981 album, “Faith.” If Robert Smith ever needed a stand-in, Brody Dalle has our vote!
The cover art to this live album resembles their popular winter holiday design with Little Red Riding Hood as a wolf with two wolves behind her. Being a red-carpet member of their fan club, aka “The Revenant,” gets you the opportunity to purchase a “limited-edition version of ‘Live in Lockdown’ pressed on Bone & Smush color vinyl.” There are only 250 units available and it comes with a free digital download so you don’t have to open this precious collectable.
In 2020, they graced us with the remastered version of their self-titled album, “The Distillers,” originally released in 2000. Today we have this live pièce de resistance, so no telling what possible Halloween special they might have coming up, or new album masterpiece they have in the works! For now, we have some great music to enjoy the remainder of our summer and tide us over till their next release.
The Distillers may have just recently come back from a hiatus, but one thing is for sure, they are coming back better than ever! The Distillers stay true to form as a heart stopping sonic journey. The band features Brody Dalle (vocals), Tony Bevilacqua (lead guitar), Ryan Sinn (bass) and Andy Granelli (drums). They are definitely a must see band of the post-pandemic era!
