Considering the number of events Foo Fighters have had going on, it is shocking they have only had to reschedule one show, which happened to be ours. But now, they are headed back to The Forum to make it up and prove “There Will Be Rock!”
This year has definitely been their year: new album, presidential inauguration, multiple large livestreams, Lollapalooza, Bee Gees tribute project (Dee Gees), Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees, and trolling concert protestors. Anti-vaccine protestors and the usual suspect in ugly signs, Westboro Baptist Church, have been picketing in front of Foo Fighter concert venues.
At their Kansas City show, the Foo’s took to a flatbed truck to appear as their disco version, Dee Gees. In white disco flair, Foo Fighters, errr, Dee Gees, shared a message with the protestors: “Ladies and gentlemen, I got something to say. Because you know what? I love you! I do. The way I look at it, I love everybody. That’s what you’re supposed to do. I deliver all of my love, and you shouldn’t be hating. You should be dancing!” – Dave Grohl
The band then gave a performance of the Bee Gees’ classic, “You Should Be Dancing.” Sometimes words don’t always capture a moment in time. Check out the “Dee Gees” (drive-by) YouTube video as Dave tells the Westboro crowd as they are moving along… “Come on boys… you should be dancin’, come on now, I saw your mama dancin’… she was dancin’!”
Aside their kick-ass “other” album “Medicine at Midnight” that’s doing very-very well…. The Dee Gees also have a new album, “Hail Satin” out now if you’re feelin’ the disco vibe. That album is also doing well and being played all over the planet. Then again, the album title alone is enough to make a few of those Westboro talking heads explode, so there’s that.

Foo Fighters have been at the forefront of everything in 2021 and showing that full-capacity shows can happen in the right conditions. There have been so many titles to stories based on all things Foo Fighters the past year. The ones that stand out are “2021, the Year of The Foo,” and “What a Foo Believes.”
In the end, all stories reflect the positive attitude and soul-sonic guidance that the Foo Fighters bring to their fans everywhere… even the protestors.

Circling back to the original Forum show. That date had to be postponed after a member of their organization tested positive for COVID. Out of safety for all of their crew and fans, they moved the show to August 26th and tickets for the previous date will be honored. Attendees will need to confirm they are fully vaccinated or have a negative COVID test with 72 hours of the show.
If you were lucky enough to get tickets for this show, be advised that concertgoers will also have to wear masks in accordance with Los Angeles county health regulations.
