They have been called loud, infectious, absurdly rebellious, and insanely talented. They are The Frights and they are hitting the road in 2024 in support of their fifth studio album, “Gallows Humour.”
Formed in Poway in 2012, the band has had its ebbs and flows, but with renewed energy The Frights have delivered yet again with a sound that puts a smile on the faces of all their fans worldwide.

Mixing a perfect blend of alt rock, surf, and garage power-pop punk, The Frights consists of Mikey Carnevale (vocals and rhythm guitar), Richard Dotson (bass), Jordan Clark (guitar), and Marc Finn (drums).
With a dynamic catalog and displaying infectious humor, all while providing solid sonic grooves of ear candy, the band first landed on our radar with their sophomore album, “You Are Going to Hate This,” home to their hit single, “Kids.”
That song took off like wildfire with the support of iconic alternative stations KROQ in Los Angels, 91X in San Diego, and Live105 in San Francisco playing them on regular rotation.
Since then, they have had a steady stream of hits their fans have enjoyed, and the future is now for Poway’s favorite power-pop-punk sons. Following up on their 2022 success, they are ready to hit the road with “Gallows Humour.”
The new album includes singles that hit the right chords with their legions of fans, specifically “I’m a Beatle” and “Boy.”
“Tungs,” “Afraid of the Dark,” “Tongues,” “C+C,” and “Let The Kids Dance” are just some of the tunes that make their fans shake their groove thing at a Frights show.
The Frights are ready to take over our 2024 as they hop on the road and entertain us all over again. They are touring with the support of Mustard Service. Locally, you can catch them March 2nd at The Fox Theater in Pomona.
Be ready to dance, rattle and mosh, or whatever you do when you are having the time of your life with The Frights.
