The amazing, female-led indie rock trio known as Joy Formidable is on tour, and they are coming to a town near us!
Hailing from across the pond – Wales, to be exact – this alternative group has been keeping our attention since its conception in ’07.
With hits like “Endtapes” (which was featured on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” soundtrack), “Whirring,” “This Ladder is Ours,” “Cradle,” and “The Greatest Light Is the Greatest Shade,” you can hear the likeability in this rock band that hits all the right chords.
The band is dynamic live and as a result, they have shared stages with all the industry heavyweights. We were lucky enough to catch them last year at the Arroyo Seco Festival (Brookside at the Rose Bowl). Needless to say The Joy Formidable was a joy to see and hear. Ritzy Bryan (vocals, guitar) is simply a pure entertainer, Rhydian Dafydd slaps a mean bass, and Matthew James Thomas can bang on the drum all day! The band is beyond delightful, and Ryan has an angelic quality about her vocal prowess.

The Joy Formidable tour is coming our way to celebrate their album “Into the Blue” which they released last year.
They are playing along the West Coast and stopping at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever (Cemetery) on October 6th, The Riverside Municipal Auditorium on October 7th, Garden Amp in Garden Grove on October 8th, and The Majestic Theater in Ventura on October 9th.
While many other states are only getting one show, we are lucky to get multiple, so do not miss your chance to catch this band while they are in the States!
