The mega huge rock stars known as The Killers are in the midst of their North American tour, but they went ahead and dropped a new song and video too.
The band is currently touring in support of last year’s release, “The Pressure Machine,” and the new song, “boy,” was actually created at the same time, but did not fit with the aesthetic of the album. “boy” gives off Erasure vibes with a Killers twist – “A Little Respect” blended with “Human.”

The Killers formed in 2001 and have been part of our musical world since their smash debut album, “Hot Fuss.”
The 2004 album is home to “Somebody Told Me,” “All These Things That I’ve Done,” “Smile Like You Mean It,” and the epically huge “Mr. Brightside.”
Seriously, how many memes include “coming out of my cage?” The album propelled them to stardom seemingly overnight and has gone seven times platinum in the UK and three times in the US.
The band followed the debut up with “Sam’s Town” and once again topped the charts courtesy of singles “When You Were Young,” “Bones,” “For Reasons Unknown,” and “Read My Mind” (which also received a remixed version courtesy of my beloved Pet Shop Boys).
Bona fide rock stars ever since, The Killers have cranked out consistently good material through albums “Day & Age” (with the previously mentioned “Human”), “Battle Born,” “Wonderful Wonderful,” “Imploding the Mirage,” and now “The Pressure Machine.”
Despite the rapid fire releases of the past few years, The Killers already have another album in the works with “early 2023” being the rumored release date.
Founders Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning, along with long-time members Mark Stoermer (currently replaced on tour by Jake Blanton) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr., will stop in SoCal August 24th in San Diego and then August 27th at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.
The band will continue touring the US into October, then head to Australia and New Zealand for the remainder of the year.
This is destined to be an amazing show, so get your tickets for The Killers ASAP!
