The weather outside the past few days has been dreadful, but it’s about to heat up this Sunday at Sea Legs at the Beach.
Jah Faith & the Family Tree Band are coming to Reggae Sundays at Sea Legs for the first time this Sunday. They will bring along special guests Fikir Amlak, Mike B, Ras Amlak, Jas, and DJ Metz, along with surprise guest MCs. On top of all that, the event is free
Michael Smith, also known as Jah Faith is a SoCal local, he calls Venice home, but his roots take him back to the beautiful Caribbean Island of Trinidad. Growing up in a tiny village called Boissiere Village, he developed his love for music, and even in his youth, people called him The Natural Music Man. Faith feels music “runs through his body, mind, and soul” and he hears music everywhere – as he cleans his house or at the drop of a spoon. He believes music is all around us as long as you are willing to listen.

Jah Faith will be performing original songs, plus a Bob Marley cover or two. If you are a fan of his music, you can expect to hear “Heavenless Riddim,” “Prophecy,” “Secret Place,” and “Bun a One.” He will also play a few acoustic originals.
Also on tap, after years of hard work, Akashic Records Reggae’s Fikir Amlak and Ras Amlak will launch the Haile Sound System at the event Sunday. The goal of Haile Charged Sound System is to provide Rastafari sound and power to the USA, so this will be the perfect environment to experience it.
