Hey everyone! I have another movie review for you with one of my favorite flicks: “The Rocketeer.” This well-known classic gained a cult following, even though it was considered a flop when it was released in 1991.
“The Rocketeer” is about a stunt pilot in 1938 who finds a jet pack that gives him the power of flight. A few important people are after the pack – the FBI, Howard Hughes, and Nazis – so you can imagine it has some exciting moments.
I remember watching “The Rocketeer” as a kid and loving it, so I decided to give it a revisit and it still holds up after 30 years. This wonderful comic book movie comes to life through the top-notch special effects and amazing cast. Led by Billy Campbell, the cast includes Jennifer Connelly, Alan Arkin, Timothy Dalton, Paul Sorvino, and Terry O’Quinn, plus many others that made this movie extremely special.
Re-watching this film brought back all the same magic feelings I had in 1991, so I say check it out for yourself (or re-watch!) and enjoy what a fantastic movie it is.
