The icons that are The Smashing Pumpkins have announced a pre-summer tour in addition to their multiple festival appearances for 2022.
The Smashing Pumpkins’ Rock Invasion 2 Tour will start things off in Memphis at the Beale Street Music Festival where they will join Foo Fighters, Lil Wayne, and Three 6 Mafia as headliners.
From there, they’ll take on their own dates through Texas and Mexico, and then pop up in Redondo Beach for BeachLife. The California festival has them headlining with Weezer and Steve Miller Band.

Pumpkins will then wind their way through the South and Midwest before heading to Florida for Rockville. Dubbed America’s largest rock festival, the Pumpkins will rule the stage with Foo Fighters, Jane’s Addiction, KISS, KORN, and several other rock artists.

Billy Corgan, James Iha, Jimmy Chamberlin, and Jeff Schroeder will perform songs off their 2020 double album, “Cyr.” At the time of its release, Corgan said of “Cyr,” “We’ve gone back to just being ourselves.”
He continued, “We’re good pop assassins, and I think as long as we’re sort of in that space, we’re good.”
Hopefully they will throw in “Tonight Tonight,” “Bullet With Butterfly Wings,” “1979,” “Disarm,” “Drown,” “Today,” “Cherub Rock,” and “Zero” in the mix. Obviously with their extensive catalogue, the headline shows could go on for hours!
The Rock Invasion tour was scheduled for 2020, but the cities have since changed, so it isn’t technically the same route – meaning your city may be on there now!
