One of the most elusive concert tickets is an entry into a CA show for the band Tool. Their extremely loyal fan base and decades of iconic music makes their shows an exclusive event.
Tool has been blowing out our eardrums with creative and mind-expanding progressive-rock music since 1991. Their 1993 album “Undertow” gave us several amazing songs, but “Sober” stood out and became their best known mega-smash hit. The video famously features stop-motion animation with scenery that looks like it’s taken straight out of the horror film “Silent Hill” (over a decade before the movie existed). Complete with post-apocalyptic looking monsters and even a face melting off during a pivotal part of the song, it’s attention grabbing and so is the band!
Because of Tool’s incredible ability to audibly staple your eyelids open to make you watch and listen to their masterful artistry; this Grammy Award- winning band will be embarking on the second leg of their North American tour starting this January, and many dates are already sold out! Their tour originally started before COVID, but when it hit, they had to cancel their remaining dates.
The tour starts off in Eugene, Oregon and making their way down to Orange County’s Honda Center on January 18th, then they take the I-5 to San Diego where they will play at Viejas Arena on January 19th. If you’re a betting person, expect a sold-out crowd at each stop. Their rabid fans flock to see the skilled Maynard James Keenan (vocals), Adam Jones (guitar), Danny Carey (drums), and Justin Chancellor (bass) work their magic and create a night to remember with amazing music and special effects.

Tool’s tour goes through March and then off to the UK they go to continue their tour in April and May. No sleep for the talented when the demand is high. Tool’s award winning, fifth and most recent album, “Fear Inoculum,” was released in 2019.
Drummer Danny Carey said, “It is with great pleasure I get to announce our return to the road… These past 18 months have been trying to say the least but from great trials come great lessons and great rewards. We are genuinely looking forward to sharing them with you.”
Not only has it been 30 years since the first Tool demo was created, but you can join the Tool Army. A one-year membership gets you a members-only T-shirt, wall flag, enamel pin, and keychain, but the biggest selling point is the pre-sale ticket opportunity you receive. This must be how we were unable to grab tickets as it seems like our local show sold out in .27 milliseconds.
Tool is a band that will blow you away via recording or live, and it’s highly recommended that you witness their greatness in person when they come to your town. If you see “tickets available” in your area, get them ASAP!
