TORI AMOS | OCEAN TO OCEAN TOUR

TORI AMOS

Ocean To Ocean Tour

June 12, 2023 by Traci Turner
The incredibly talented Tori Amos is bringing her Ocean to Ocean tour to the US after it wraps its European leg. The journey begins in Florida June 17th, and travels across the US with stops in Boston, New Orleans, Atlanta, and New York, before wrapping in Seattle. OC Music News will catch the Nashville show and give you a preview before it arrives in SoCal.
At the tour announcement, Amos said, “I am truly excited to be coming back to the US on the ‘Ocean to Ocean Tour’ this summer with my amazing bandmates Jon Evans and Ash Soan. We are so looking forward to playing iconic venues once again such as The Greek in LA, Red Rocks and especially Wolf Trap, where I saw so many shows growing up in neighboring Maryland.”

The tour is in support of her 2021 album, “Ocean to Ocean,” which debuted at number two on the Billboard alternative albums chart. At recent shows, she has played the title track, “Addition of Light Divided,” and “Metal Water Wood” off the album, but of course she will include some of our “older” favorites such as “Tombigbee,” “Upside Down,” “Your Cloud,” “Give,” and “Cornflake Girl.”

Amos is also commemorating the 30th anniversary of her iconic 1992 debut album, “Little Earthquakes.” The album launched her into our stratosphere with the timeless songs “Silent All These Years,” “Winter,” “Crucify,” and the incredibly heartbreaking, “Me and a Gun.” Last year she released a graphic novel containing 24 stories inspired by the album’s 12 tracks and the 12 B-sides. The stories were written by authors Margaret Atwood, Neil Gaiman, Annie Zaleski, Leah Moore, and Colleen Doran. Of course, the book is not enough, and there are multiple limited edition sets available as well, including vinyl versions.
To see the amazing artist that is Amos, look for her July 21 in Los Angeles at Greek Theatre, and July 23rd in San Diego at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay.
