This summer will be the reincarnation of all that is cool in music, and for those who love music from yesteryear, you can look forward to seeing Van Morrison at a venue near you.
Born in Northern Ireland as George Ivan Morrison, the man we know as simply Van Morrison became an international sensation with larger-than-life songs that became classics – “Gloria,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Madame George,” “Have I Told You Lately,” and “Moondance.”
What has Morrison been up to recently, you ask? Well, he had multiple songs featured in Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar-winning film, “Belfast.” One of those songs, “Down to Joy,” was even nominated for the Best Original Song at the 94th Academy Awards – Morrison’s first-ever nomination.
In March, Morrison released the double album, “Moving on Skiffle,” and now, the Grammy-award winning, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer will be hitting the road.
Luckily for all his fans in Southern California, he will play two shows at the Greek Theater in LA – September 17th and 19th. Opening will be Taj Mahal.
Don’t miss your chance to see this living legend in person at an equally legendary venue!
