It’s OFFICIAL, the legendary Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend is coming back!
Plan to return to this epic event September 9-12, 2021 at The Orleans Hotel and Casino. The event is celebrating its 20th anniversary and is the longest-running music festival of its kind.
With this announcement, it’s a good sign for the LIVE concert industry, especially for DTLV and its local businesses who have been hit hard in many way in 2020 by the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Bars that held smaller shows’ run off crowd would bring a little something to Vegas. Hell, the Orleans will be sold out and the bars will be busy again…well, that’s the idea anyway.
I miss seeing the bands who play this legendary festival, performers like The Reverend Horton Heat, The Chop Tops, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Wanda Jackson, Stray Cats, and Dick Dale.
I can’t wait to see what awesome bands and events they will have this time.
It’s always fun when you catch a pin-up girl contest or a low-rider event. The hope is we get the pandemic handled so we can get this glorious annual event happening again.
This weekend not only brings business to this town, but some damn culture! I mean, what other place can you see all the gentleman dressed to the nines with their pompadours going, ladies dressed in their best with their hair and makeup done up extra special, everyone with their tattoos showing…everyone looking done up and pretty damn fly!
I for one am excited to see this awesome event come back and I’ll be taking my ass out to this epic weekend of fun.
