As the streaming world changes day by day, a new player has entered the game. Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo has created his very own streaming platform… Weezify!
Cuomo posted: “Tired of Spotify? Come on over to Weezify.” Thousands – almost 3,300! – of Weezer demos were originally released in 2020 during his web programming class. You may purchase the demos in era bundles and they include his pre-Weezer ventures through 2017’s “Pacific Daydream.”
Cuomo also said, “I made this app myself. It took me all of 2021 to make. I hope you enjoy it.” Weezify is now available through the Apple Store or Google Play.
While the streaming service will have all the demos, it should be noted that Spotify will continue to have the Weezer catalog available so you will still have access to “Undone (The Sweater Song),” “Island in the Sun,” “Say It Ain’t So,” and “Africa.”
But that’s not all Weezer fans! The band is working on a FOUR-ALBUM project titled “Seasons.” On the first day of each season, the band will release an album that features its own unique style.
During an appearance on “Good Morning America,” Cuomo said, “Spring is kind of like happy chill. And then we move through to dance rock, like a Strokes-style album for the fall.” He also stated the winter version will be an Elliott Smith-style “sad acoustic” release.

In addition to the streaming and records, Weezer will be heading to Europe for the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fallout Boy. But first, they will stop at BeachLife in Redondo Beach with Smashing Pumpkins, 311, Stone Temple Pilots, Cold War Kids, Black Pumas, The Aggrolites, Long Beach Dub Allstars, UB40, and many more… even Everclear front-man Art Alexakis.
