On the heels of a string of kick-ass concerts, The World Famous KROQ is living up to its name with the announcement of another great show – Weezer is coming.
It’s no surprise that since the arrival of Program Director Kevin Weatherly, KROQ’s fortunes have taken a turn for the better. Especially at a time that radio broadcasting is having some issues.
On today’s Klein Ally Show, Rivers Cuomo announced they will be playing at the new home of the Clippers, The Intuit Dome on October 11th.
Weezer will be joined by The Flaming Lips and Dinosaur Jr. as part of their Voyage to the Blue Planet Tour where they will play the “Blue album” in its entirety celebrating its 30th year anniversary.
The tour hits us throughout North America – it kicks off in September after they finish up their UK tour with The Smashing Pumpkins.
Aside this being L.A.’s latest and greatest new venue, these three bands are guaranteed to blow your mind.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 15th at 9 a.m. local time – so get ready for this open!
