WEEZER | THE SUMMER TOUR

Indie Rock Roadtrip

They have taken us from Beverly Hills to Pinkerton to an Island in the Sun, and now Weezer is ready to set off our Spidey-Sense with more ear candy, courtesy of a 30-city tour dubbed Weezer’s Indie Rock Roadtrip.
The collective soul that is Rivers Cuomo and gang has announced a very cool summer tour agenda for us.

Giving support for this awesome jaunt is Modest Mouse and Momma on the first string of shows, then Future Islands and Joyce Manor on the second, before Spoon and White Reaper kick in on the third leg.
Best known for super hits like “Buddy Holly,” “Hash Pipe,” “Undone,” “My Name is Jonas,” “Say It Ain’t So,” “Pork and Beans,” “Dope Nose,” “Beverly Hills,” “Africa,” “All My Favorite Songs,” and “Island in the Sun,” this will be the first time the band will be able to perform selections off all four of their “SZNZ” EPs – “SZNZ: Spring,” “SZNZ: Summer,” “SZNZ: Autumn,” and “SZNZ: Winter.”
Weezer is solid from top to bottom and provides a signature sound that captivates their fans. With Rivers Cuomo as the ringleader, Brian Bell on guitar and keyboards, Scott Shriner on bass, and Patrick Wilson on drums, they put on a fantastic stage show and they are awesome live.

It’s been a big week for the guys of Weezer. In addition to announcing the tour, they stopped by “America’s Got Talent” Tuesday night to perform for the judges at a stop in Detroit. After playing “What Happens After You?,” Weezer jumped into “Beverly Hills” and the Detroit Youth Choir joined them onstage for the song. The performance earned a standing ovation from judges Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and even Simon Cowell.

What higher praise could a band earn than Cowell approval? See for yourself and have a great time of musical entertainment from Weezer this summer!
For SoCal residents, Weezer stops at FivePoint in Irvine on September 2nd (with Spoon and White Reaper) and Petco Park in San Diego on September 3rd (also Spoon and White Reaper).
