When you think of 2021 troublemakers, many names probably rush to the frontline, but Weezer isn’t one of them. They have been entertaining us with the original music and fantastic covers. No better example than their A-Ha cover of “Take On Me.”
Now that our life and future may soon reside in the here and now, Weezer is ready to entertain us again!
Rivers Cuomo and the guys have been spawning creative mega musical hit since 1992 with hits like, “Buddy Holly”, “Undone-The Sweater Song”, “Hash Pipe,” “Dope Nose,” “Port and Beans,” “Islands in the Sun”, and “Beverly Hills.” Now they bring us something a little different but with the same Weezer sound we all know and love; an album recorded with a 38-piece orchestra and it really rocks!
Weezer will perform their phenomenal and newest album “OK Human” live with the Los Angeles Philharmonic (one of the most renowned American orchestras) and Youth Orchestra Los Angeles (the Los Angeles Philharmonics initiative to establish youth orchestra programs in underprivileged communities throughout Los Angeles) on April 16, 6 pm PST, April 17, 6 pm BST and AUS EST.
Weezer posted on their site, “On April 16th, we invite each and every one of you to stare at your screens while we preform ok human for the first time ever (along with all your favorite Weezer songs). We will be joined on stage at the Walt Disney concert hall by the talented folks of the LA Philharmonic and the Youth Orchestra Los Angeles.”
You can purchase viewing tickets at their site that also include a VIP option with a 30-minute Q&A immediately following the airing of the show.
With Weezer’s latest, “All My Favorite Songs” doing well on the airwaves, there is no stopping this band. We are excited to watch this masterfully crafted event and can’t wait to see what additional songs Weezer has in store for us!
