Get your Hot Topic attire out of the back of your closet and add another awesome festival to your calendar for 2022! My Chemical Romance and Paramore will headline the When We Were Young festival in Las Vegas in October.
All your ‘00s emo pop will be playing in ONE place on October 22nd when the festival returns.
In addition to the headliners, the festival will include all our favorites from… uh… when we were young: Dashboard Confessional, Jimmy Eat World, Avril Lavigne, Bring Me the Horizon, A Day to Remember, Pierce the Veil, Taking Back Sunday, All American Rejects, Alkaline Trio, AFI, Bright Eyes, 3OH!3, and The Used. (Seriously, who is NOT on this bill!?).
There will even be “new” bands to entertain the TikTok generation (and to make sure we stay young).
This will be the first show back for Paramore, who went on hiatus in 2018. They are in the studio working on an album now, so perhaps by October, they will have new music to share. So far they say it is not like previous albums and it will be more guitar heavy.
HOW BIG IS THIS EVENT?
My Chemical Romance also took a hiatus, but after the 2013 break, they regrouped and planned on playing reunion shows in 2020. Obviously, that did not happen.
They are currently slated to play through Europe during the summer and hit the US in the fall… and it is completely sold out.
