After a decade together, Cannons have hit the mainstream indie music scene. The Los Angeles band got a kick in popularity thanks to their song “Fire for You” being featured on the Netflix series, “Never Have I Ever.”

But now they have even bigger news: they will be lending support to Imagine Dragons on their upcoming Loom tour.

Cannons will tour through the remainder of 2024 and in addition to the Imagine Dragons dates, they have their own headlining shows, plus a stint at Lollapalooza in Chicago.

We can expect their setlist to include songs “Heartbeat Highway,” (off last year’s album of the same name), “Loving You,” “Bright Lights,” “Fire for You,” and their encore song “Evening Star.”

The band is led by vocalist Michelle Joy, with Ryan Claham on guitar, and Paul Davis on keyboards. This band is the kind that can play festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Beachfest, but also hold their own as headliner at venues across the States.

Since they released their fourth album in November 2023, that’s what they have been doing.

Michelle Joy has such a soulful voice, and she glides across the stage as she sings to the audience. It seems as if she feels every lyric of the songs, captivating you with a sultry fire you didn’t know was missing. Another thing about Joy is her style.

She dresses to impress; she looks as beautiful as she sounds. She exemplifies “class;” the way women used to dress back when our moms and grandmas were watching iconic female singers like Dusty Springfield or Ella Fitzgerald on TV.

You do not want to miss Cannons! In addition to opening for Imagine Dragons at Hollywood Bowl on October 26th, you can catch their headline show at Pacific Amphitheatre on July 24th.
