22nd Anniversary Tour Comes to SoCal

On August 24th, the Lost 80’s Live 22nd Anniversary Tour arrives in Los Angeles, bringing a wave of ‘80s nostalgia to the iconic Peacock Theater. This highly-anticipated event promises a night filled with the unforgettable sounds of the new wave and synth-pop era, featuring a lineup of legendary bands that defined a generation.

Hosted by the one and only Richard Blade, the beloved DJ who helped bring many of these bands to prominence, this is a night that no fan of ‘80s music will want to miss. The Peacock Theater’s intimate atmosphere is the perfect setting for this celebration of ‘80s music.

The night will feature A Flock of Seagulls, whose ethereal sound and distinctive look in videos like “I Ran” and “Space Age Love Song” made them one of the most recognizable bands of the early ‘80s. Their atmospheric synths and catchy melodies helped define the new wave movement, and their performance is sure to be memorable. Mike Score has always delivered on the band’s sonic vision, the band sounds just as great as ever.

Wang Chung will make sure we “get down tonight” when they take the stage with their infectious beats and party-ready vibe.

This British band became a staple of the ‘80s music scene thanks to “Dance Hall Days” and “Everybody Have Fun Tonight,” and their high-energy performance will have the entire audience on their feet.

With their unique blend of ska and new wave, The English Beat’s infectious lyrics and upbeat rhythms will remind fans why they became one of the most influential bands of the 80s, and prove their music continues to resonate with fans today.

Be ready for Dave Wakeling to deliver hits from both The English Beat and General Public including “Tenderness,” “Mirror in the Bathroom,” and “Save it for Later.”

Oingo Boingo Former Members will bring a taste of their SoCal, avant-garde sound to the stage. This Los Angeles-based band became a cult favorite with their eclectic mix of rock, ska, and new wave, and their live performances were legendary for their energy and theatricality.

Original members including Johnny Vatos, Steve Bartek, John Avila, Sam “Sluggo” Phipps, and Carl Graves. The band is rounded out by longtime members Brendan McKian, Mike Glendinning, Freddy Hernandez, Brian Swartz, and Ryan Dragon, and they embody the sound we all expect from this incredible band. “Dead Man’s Party,” “Only a Lad,” “Grey Matter,” “No One Lives Forever” are surely on the setlist.

Los Angeles favorites Missing Persons will also make an appearance, led by the charismatic Dale Bozzio. With their new wave stylings on “Words,” “Walking in L.A.,” and “Destination Unknown,” Missing Persons became a staple of the early MTV era, and their music continues to influence artists today.

Rounding out the incredible line up are Dramarama, The Escape Club, The Vapors, Animotion, Stacey Q, Musical Youth, and Boys Don’t Cry.

With Richard Blade guiding the night with his signature style and deep knowledge of ‘80s music, the Lost 80s Live 22nd Anniversary Tour is set to be an unforgettable evening of music, memories, and pure nostalgia. You can see this great tour August 23rd at Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay, then on August 24th at The Peacock Theatre and here in Orange County on August 25th at the City National Grove of Anaheim.
