Announces San Diego Date
September 3, 2024 by Kevin Gomez
Punk in the Park has become an annual event that rivals similar festivals and provides Southern California with an answer to other states such as Las Vegas’s Punk Rock Bowling. The production team behind Punk in the Park is Brew Ha Ha Productions, the brainchild of Cameron Collins.
In addition to Punk in the Park, Brew Ha Ha has been behind such incredible festivals as NOFX’s Punk in Drublic, Summer Roots, Shamrock Rebellion, and OC Boo Ha Ha, just to name a few. Their winning formula usually combines a full day of music with free beer tasting from dozens of local breweries.

Normally held in November at Oak Canyon Park in Silverado, CA, Punk in the Park slowly started to evolve into multiple times each year and eventually expanded to other cities and states. One of their first ventures outside of the normal November festival was a single-day Punk in the Park in March of last year held at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.
Last year’s November Punk in the Park had grown in popularity so much so that they even added a third stage to divvy up all of the talent from a day that featured Pennywise, Descendents, Circle Jerks, Goldfinger, and Buzzcocks.
In January, Punk in the Park announced it would be launching the first ever Punk in the Park American Road Trip, with its first stop at the legendary Cow Palace in San Francisco in May. The stacked lineup included Descendents, The Vandals, Dead Kennedys, Black Flag, and T.S.O.L., with a kickoff party the night before with Suicidal Tendencies, Guttermouth, D.I. and Naked Aggression. At the time, Punk in the Park announced they would not be doing their annual November festival at Oak Canyon Park, instead with production focusing solely on October’s Punk in Drublic date, which will be NOFX’s last three shows ever.

On June 28th, Punk in the Park announced they would be continuing their American Road Trip, this time landing in Orlando for the first time. The day will feature performances from Alkaline Trio, The Vandals, Dead Kennedys, and Dwarves.
Southern Californians such as I were happy to share this wonderful festival with our brethren down in Florida, but to be honest, it did feel like something was missing out not having our annual Southern California date in November.

Well, fret not. Hopefully your dance card is still free because Punk in the Park just announced the next stop in the American Road Trip will be Thrive Park at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego on November 16th.

An epic lineup of The Offspring (arguably the biggest band Punk in the Park has landed to date), Pennywise, Streetlight Manifesto (making their Punk in the Park debut), the always fantastic Face to Face, Manic Hispanic, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Buck-o-Nine, Slaughterhouse, and Winterhaven.

There will be the traditional beer sampling from noon to 3 p.m. and tickets go on sale Wednesday, September 4th at 10 a.m.
