Set to Rock the Regent Theater
September 8, 2924 by Shane Pase
Alt-rock veterans Everclear are bringing their gritty guitars and catchy hooks to the Regent Theater in Los Angeles on September 19th. The Portland-born band, led by front-man Art Alexakis, has been cranking out hits for over three decades and show no signs of slowing down. This LA stop is part of their ongoing world tour, giving fans a chance to experience their raw energy and memorable tunes live.
Fans can expect to hear classics like “Santa Monica” and “Father of Mine” alongside deeper cuts from the band’s extensive catalog.
Everclear’s straightforward rock sound, blending power chords with Alexakis’ distinctive vocals, has stood the test of time since their emergence in the ‘90s.
Their music, often drawing from Alexakis’ personal experiences, still resonates with listeners through its honesty and relatability.

The current lineup features Alexakis on vocals and guitar, Davey French on guitar, Freddy Herrera on bass, and Brian Nolan behind the drums.
Together, they deliver a high-energy live show that’s kept audiences coming back year after year. The band’s chemistry onstage is obvious, with each member bringing their A-game to recreate the punch and emotion of Everclear’s studio recordings.
In a move that adds meaning to the music, Alexakis has been donating $1 from every ticket sold to charities supporting multiple sclerosis research and musicians in need. The singer went public with his own MS diagnosis in 2019, bringing awareness to a condition he’d been quietly managing for years. This personal touch exemplifies the band’s connection with their audience, extending beyond just the music.
Everclear’s journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing. From their humble beginnings in Portland’s indie scene to achieving mainstream success with platinum albums, the band has weathered the storm and shifting music trends. Yet, they’ve maintained their relevance, continuing to tour and release material.
Their most recent offering, “Live at The Whisky a Go Go,” captures the essence of their live performances.

The band’s longevity is a testament to their songwriting prowess and ability to connect with listeners across generations. Tracks like “AM Radio,” “Everything to Everyone,” “Heroin Girl,” and “Wonderful,” fans have become alt-rock anthems, their lyrics etched into the memories of fans.
At the Regent Theater show, expect a mix of these crowd-pleasers alongside lesser-known gems that showcase the depth of Everclear’s discography.

Don’t miss your chance to see why Everclear has remained a staple of the alternative rock scene for 30 years and counting.
With their mix of nostalgia and ongoing creativity, Everclear continues to prove that good, heartfelt rock music never goes out of style.
