Announces ALTer Ego 2025 Lineup
October 17, 2024 by Kevin Gomez
October means spooky Halloween vibes, but also brings about the much-anticipated iHeartRadio announcement for next year’s ALTer EGO festival. A celebration of the biggest names in music come together every year for a star-studded event that satisfies fans of all genres of radio.
Every year iHeartRadio gathers a blockbuster lineup that wows their audience from beginning to end, and 2025 will be no exception. What’s really cool and different about ALTer Ego is that set times will not be revealed until a few days before the show and usually opens with a big artist, so it’s not your typical festival where the newest bands open.
Just last year, The Black Keys got the party started; not exactly who’d you would expect to open a festival as they are one of the biggest and best live acts of the last two decades.
ALTer Ego 2025 will return to the iconic Kia Forum on January 11th and features Cage the Elephant, Fontaines D.C., Glass Animals, Incubus, St. Vincent, The Head and the Heart, The Lumineers, The Offspring, and Damiano David.

Cage the Elephant might be the band I’m most excited to see. I’ve heard the stories about their wild, high-energy performances and look forward to seeing them bringing down the house at the Forum. They will no doubt be playing new songs off of their May release, “Neon Pill.”
Longtime alternative radio icons Incubus released “Morning View XXIII” earlier this year, a rerecording of their smash 2001 album, and performed it in its entirety in 2023 at the famed Hollywood Bowl. The band has since announced they are working on a new album.
Alt folk group The Lumineers released “Brightside” in 2022 and just dropped a live album this year in support. I can’t wait to sing along to “Ho Hey” with the thousands in attendance.
Southern California is always down to welcome The Offspring back home. Fresh off a tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Smash,” The Offspring just released their 11th album, “Supercharged,” last week.
Indie rock queen St. Vincent just released “All Born Screaming,” her seventh studio album to critical acclaim. Fans who have seen her before know they are in for both a musical and visual masterclass.
The night will also feature performances from Glass Animals, Fontaines D.C., The Head and the Heart, and what’s billed as a “special performance” from Damiano David. The Måneskin lead singer is a sort of sweetheart of iHeartRadio, his band having played in 2022, and he himself came out to present 30 Seconds to Mars last year.
The evening will be hosted by The Woody Show, longtime morning show on iHeartRadio’s ALT 98.7, the local Los Angeles radio station.

ALT 98.7 listeners can partake in a 24-hour VIP-Sale beginning Thursday at 10 a.m. through Friday at 10 a.m. (or while supplies last). Then EVERYONE can go for tickets as they go on sale to the pubic this Friday at 12 p.m. PT.
iHeartRadio is also giving away trips to Los Angeles to attend the show, so listen to your favorite alternative, rock, and classic rock ‘90s iHeartRadio station to win!
