The Opposite of December Tour
December 8, 2024 by Alex DiStefano
Last week, fans of metalcore/emo were pleasantly surprised when one of the most prominent bands of the genre, Poison the Well, announced a special tour in spring 2025.
The nationwide, month-long tour will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the band’s influential album, “The Opposite of December… A Season of Separation,” during which the band will perform it in its entirety at each show.
The tour will launch April 4th at the Hollywood Palladium, hit major cities like Seattle, Dallas, Denver, Chicago, Nashville, New York, and Orlando in the band’s home state of Florida, before ending on April 29th in Toronto, Canada.

Special guest support acts for the upcoming tour include emo/post hardcore rockers Glassjaw, hardcore band Better Lovers, and LA rockers Teenage Wrist.
With numerous lineup changes over the years, countless shows and tours, and five full-length albums, Poison the Well’s fusion of punk, metalcore, and hints of emo have influenced countless bands and spawned a generation of hardcore fans. As a live act, the band is known for legendary, cathartic, emotionally intense shows full of raw energy, and plenty of fan interaction.
This will be Poison the Well’s first tour in over 15 years, so for metalcore and emo fans, this will surely be a show not to miss in 2025 when it comes to a city near you.
