RADIO SOUL | THE EARLY SONGS TOUR
December 17, 2024 by Joey Clark
Legendary English singer/songwriter, Elvis Costello has announced a 2025 summer tour entitled, Radio Soul!: The Early Songs of Elvis Costello.
As the name suggests, the show will feature songs from the 11 albums beginning with 1977’s “My Aim Is True” and running through 1986’s “Blood & Chocolate,” plus surprise additions.
Costello will be backed by his longtime band, The Imposters, led by guitarist, Charlie Sexton.
The Imposters have served as his band since 2002 and are currently comprised of longtime collaborators Steve Niece (keyboards), Pete Thomas (drums), and Davey Faragher (bass).

Although Costello has frequented Los Angeles for decades, this marks his first performance at The Orpheum Theatre – June 21st and 22nd.
While the June dates may be a first for the artist, they also mark some final moments in his career as well.
When speaking about the tour, Costello stated when they close their show with “Farewell, OK,” “it probably means those ‘Early Songs’ will have been performed in your city for the very last time.”
In addition to the Orpheum shows, you can catch the show in San Diego on June 24th at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay.
If you are a fan of Elvis Costello, particularly of his early recordings, I implore you to not sleep on the opportunity to see this tour. You can embrace the nostalgia by getting tickets now.
