Tour Coming to The Wiltern
January 31, 2025 by Jimmy Alvarez
Franz Ferdinand are back! They are looking and sounding better than ever. We saw them last at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas and boy did they slay!
This tour has these Scotts frolicking from coast-to-coast in support of their latest effort, “The Human Fear.”

The band remains volcanic with Alex Kapranos as the steady hand behind the mic. Based on the Acoustic Christmas performance, Kapranos is ready to deliver on their fan favorite catalog of catchy tunes.
The band blew up in their first two efforts. Their eponymous titled freshman album launched them and with their sophomore effort, You Could Have It Much Better – that album put them on that proverbial map to the stars. Franz Ferdinand has not looked back ever since.
Their epic catalog has several hits fans love to love at their sows, “Darts of Pleasure,” “Walk Away,” “Evil Eye,” “Lucid Dreams,” and of course “Take Me Out.”
Their fans love that this band is always ascending for greater heights, and “The Human Fear” may be the album to take them back to that sonic promised land with their sixth studio album.
Aside Kapranos, the band features bassist Bob Hardy, their latest addition is axe-man Dino Bardot with Julian Corrie on keys. Their other new edition is drummer Audrey Tait. Collectively, they put out a sound that you just need to see and hear live to appreciate.

As for “The Human Fear,” it has some hooky tunes that fans love. A few standouts, “Build It Up” and “The Birds.” Then for funky beats, there’s “Everydaydreamer.”

The album rounds out with a few other songs destined to make you smile, “Night or Day” is a more traditional rock-based Franz Ferdinand sound, while “Audacious” is hitting a great tune with Ferdinand-heads worldwide.
