25 Years Tour is Coming to The Glass House
February 13th, 2025 by Christina Sanchez
It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since The Get Up Kids gave us a directional change in our music taste with “Something to Write Home About,” but here we are.
One of my favorite bands from my youth is coming very soon to The Glass House for two magical nights. It’s Kansas City’s favorite kids, The Get Up Kids.
The guys signed their first record deal in 1997, and within two years, their seminal album was launched into the stratosphere. I remember it like it was just yesterday.
The year was 1999 and I saw them in a small pub in Melbourne Australia; I have been a fan ever since. That album will always have a special place in my heart.

THE GLASS HOUSE
Pomona, California
March 7th & 8th, 2025
The band features booming vocals from Matt Pryor, Jim Suptic slays on guitar, Rob Pope slaps the bass, Dustin Kinsey is on keys, and Ryan Pops keeps the beat on drums.
With their melodic sound, anthem-like bridges, and piercing guitar riffs, their fans love to scream for “Out of Reach,” “Ten Minutes,” “Holiday,” “My Apology,” “I’ll Catch You,” “Long Goodnight,” and “Close to Home.

No matter which song you love, they’ll be playing the entire album in its entirety.

It will be a night to relive those moments that made this band what it is today. It’s just my humble opinion; every single song stands on its own. Every single song could be a single. It is a completely solid record: Front and back just totally solid.
The tour is coming to SoCal for two epic nights. You can catch them March 7th and 8th at The Glass House in Pomona.
